The International Basketball Coaches Clinic is a two-day event that originated in 2010.

Our experts are renowned Coaches, Trainers, and Sports Professionals from all over the world, many of which are from the National Basketball Association (NBA) and top-tier universities, who share their knowledge, experience, and philosophy with the registered participants.

This event takes place under the Auspices of the Greek Basketball Coaches Association (SEPK) and is an opportunity for professional development for Basketball Coaches and fans.

On-court hands-on demonstration of basketball skills and strategies for coaches.

Lectures

Lectures on sports-related subjects (conditioning, nutrition, psychology, etc.)

Networking

Networking with prominent international coaches.

Ilias Zouros is a Greek Basketball coach, presently with the club team of AEK playing in the Greek League as well as the Basketball Champions’ League.

Coach Zouros has vast experience as a coach; his coaching tenure goes back to 1986 when he started coaching youth teams as well as men’s teams.

Throughout his coaching career, he coached Greek teams as well as International club teams: Olympiakos, Peristeri, Aris, Zalgiris, Anatolu Efes to name a few! Coach Zouros has also been the coach of the National Men’s team of Greece as well as the National men’s team of Georgia. He coached Georgia at the Eurobasket 2017 and 2022, and under his guidance, the Georgian team made their debut at the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

His personal awards / achievements as Head Coach are:
- Eurocup Coach of the Year (2010)
- FIBA Asia Champions Cup – Champion (2004)
- Lithuanian League Champion (2011)
- Lithuanian Cup Winner (2011)
- Baltic League Champion (2011)
- Lebanese League Champion (2004)
Coach Zouros’ experience is an asset to the sport of basketball.

Henry Barrera is the Strength & Conditioning Coach of the men’s basketball team of Alabama University since May of 2022, after spending 7 years at Liberty University. Coming from Oregon, where he was a performance training specialist at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, he had a big impact on designing training content for multiple projects. As a player, Barrera played one season of professional basketball in Sweden before beginning his coaching and performance training career. He is considered a specialist in basketball strength and conditioning coaching.
Ryan Pannone

Ryan Pannone brings a wealth of basketball with a lot of coaching experience in the United States as well as internationally.

He is a recent addition to the University of Alabama Men’s Basketball coaching staff and prior to this coaching assignment he was the assistant coach of the New Orleans Pelicans (NBA). He has also the head coach of the Erie BayHawks/Birmingham Squadron, in the G-league as well as teams in Israel, Slovakia, China, Germany and Korea.
He is a leader in PLAYER Development having had the opportunity to coach a number of elite basketball players such as Herbert Jones, Trey Murphy, John Petty Jr. and Kira Lewis Jr.
Aaron Fearne

Coach Fearne is an Australian basketball coach and a former college and professional player who is now the Head Coach of the University of North Carolina @ Charlotte men’s basketball team. He was the assistant coach for five years and the Associate Head Coach in the 2022 season before he was named the Head Coach of the men’s team. His coaching career began in 2001 in Australia and received the Coach of the year award in 2015; he also coached the New Zealand U-19 team during his international tenure.

The International Basketball Coaches Clinic takes place once a year and registration are available either online or on the ACS Athens campus on the 1st day of the event.
