Let’s Talk Greek for Adults (Beginners)
250.00€
For: Adult Learners
This is a quick “survival Greek” program that will help ex-pats and newcomers make their transition to Greece a lot easier.
Want to learn how to get on the right bus? Make sure that you arrive on the right island for your weekend getaway? Buy sugar instead of flour at the market? Ask someone if you can buy them a drink?
Participants will learn the Greek alphabet and how to read and communicate in Greek. They will develop a practical vocabulary and learn basic grammar. Instruction will focus on everyday communication. The goal is to learn Greek while getting acclimated to life in Greece.
The participants have one thing in common: they can’t speak Greek.

Great class, great teacher! Maria is very kindly flexible with the class schedule. She’s created a very friendly class atmosphere and has been able to adjust the lessons to the learning level of our class. It’s even better to meet in person than online (it was originally going to be partly remote). I like when we focus more on useful phrases and conversations, rather than grammar, but that’s just my personal preference.

As I had a basic level of the language, the beginning of the course was like a review for the first weeks, but it was more satisfactory than I expected. During the following sessions it was more challenging so I had the chance to improve my Greek grammar, vocabulary, listening and reading. Over all if I had to evaluate myself as “before and after the course” I learnt many things and became more confident in daily practices. I would like to thank Ms. Veloudi for her efforts and patience.
