HS: Sustainability in the Security Industry (Ages: 14 – 18)

150.00

For: High School Students (Ages: 14-18)

Once again, building upon the previous chapters, these classes will delve into identifying the areas where security-related companies (public and private security providers) and similar abuse human rights. In this sense, the workshop will translate some Human Rights into skills, accompanied by responsibilities, by defining the major stakeholders in the security sector and looking at how the latter could respect and protect Human Rights. Every Human Right/skill will be taught using a two-dimensional approach: what is the right and what is the responsibility of each stakeholder. This approach is employed to emphasize equally on rights and responsibilities and to develop a Human Rights-based work ethic.
